About Us

The Villager Apartment Community is a cozy, oasis like, vintage community constructed in the 1960’s out of sturdy and noise reducing, insulated adobe block with large single-story floor plans.

The Community has been extensively
renovated inside and out!

The spacious community means that residents
are not on top of each other.

56 apartments are spread out over an area of almost 3 acres in an “oasis like” setting in the heart of one of the most vibrant and dynamic areas in the City of Phoenix.

Long-time residents (some of whom have lived here for over twenty years) say that they like living in our community because we are close
to everything and is very quiet.

Many of our residents have found no need to own a car as almost everything is walking distance or easily access by public transportation.

Welcome to the Christown Neighborhood
one of the hottest & upcoming areas in the Valley.

With the new Light Rail system spurring all kinds of new developments,
including multi-million condos along Central Avenue and along with sky high fuel prices
and 2-hour commutes, professionals are moving back to the City neighborhoods
to be close to their places of employment and to have access to all the
great amenities that living in the central part of the City offers.

We are near Biltmore and downtown Phoenix...
And a few miles straight down Camelback Road puts you in the center
of the newly revitalized downtown/old town Scottsdale areas

The Villager is a Quiet Community!

We are set back from the road so there is a minimum amount of street
noise and it also adds to the privacy of the community

"Positive and Just a Great Place..."

I have now been here for over a year.  In one year the owner has done numerous upgrades in my apartment as well as accommodated me with all the little extras that I like.  He really has gone above and beyond to make sure all his tenants are completely satisfied.  The place is tucked away and quiet, the green grass you can putt on it.  Everyone is really great around here and we always welcome new tenants.  I one day will buy a house but till then, I can't see moving away from a place that I feel so comfortable at...

"...Owner understands and welcomes people who can manage life's obstacles with honesty and effort..."

I have lived in the Phoenix Metro area for nearly 5 years and feel like I am home. Granted it's a studio, but as soon as I am in better times I hope to move into one of the one-bedrooms.  I am an adult re-entry college student who hasn't always had great times financially.  Lessons learned.  Edvard (manager-owner) understands this and welcomes people who can manage life's obstacles with honesty and effort.  One of my other biggest reasons in moving here was the new Light Rail ( which opened Dec 27, 2008) that runs along 19th Ave, I have had bad luck with cars and went green buying an electric bike (which fits behind my door along that wall).  This complex is near a busy intersection of Camelback and 19th Ave (more so with the train) and about a mile from I-17, it is set back from the road and quiet, you forget you are so close to downtown Phoenix until you occasionally hear the train horns which are not loud.  It is NOT a perfect area (the Avenues) to live in, but I feel safe here as a single woman.

"Apartments are in Top Shape..."

I can tell you that the apartments are in top shape and the landlord is always doing something new to them.  He treats every one of his tenants like family.  I would recommend this place to anyone. If you like to talk to me give me a call and talk:  907-982-5805   I would love to hear from you if you looking for more info.   Read more at ApartmentRatings.com

"...Really take care of stuff and get along with the people living here...  Felt more like a home instead of a temporary place to stay."

I lived here for many years before I got transferred by my job back east ad if I ever get transferred or move back to Phoenix, this is the first place that I will apply to.  The owners and managers really take care of stuff and get along well with the people living here. They do a good job of keeping out the riff-raff too.
This is the only apartment complex that I have ever lived in where it felt more like a home instead of a temporary place to stay while on my way to live somewhere else.  I met and knew neighbors that had lived there for 5, 10 and even 20 years.  I really miss The Villager and all it's people there.

Message From the
Owner and Onsite Manager

Hello Future Villager Folk:

I own and manage The Villager Apartment Community.  It is a wonderful little apartment complex that I have overseen for the better part of a decade now.

Recently, I have also taken on the duty of on-site Resident Manager. This allows me to be closer to my customers and to offer them much better service.

I have been lovingly restoring and rehabbing this community over the past several years in preparation of the anticipated demand that has been spurned by the area’s transition from a traditionally solid working class area into one that now attracts urban professionals, graduate students, sophisticated retirees and the like.

This will always be a ‘work in progress” in my life as I make decisions for the continued improvement of our community mostly from the heart rather than the balance sheet.

Simply put, I spend way too much money on upgrades for my customers. I’m a bit like a Grandpa who overindulges his Grandkids.

However, I love it and this is my life’s work.  If I die tomorrow, I’ll do it knowing that I gave an extraordinary effort in meeting and exceeding my customer’s expectations, which I live for.  I know it sounds kind of hokey in this day and age, but I have old-fashioned values .

Excellent customer service is like a religion to me!

I am one of the most highly rated (by %) of all apartment communities in the general Phoenix area.  This rating is based on excellent customer service; which is not always typical of many landlords!

Check it out at:
http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/AZ-Phoenix.html

I hope that you'll consider making our Community your home.

Sincerely,

Edvard

"I have found for all the renting I have done in my 20 years, this is a place I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place that you want to call home.  The apartments are spacious and the outer compound is kept to a high level of beauty with a pool that is always kept clean.  The staff listens to you and pays attention to your needs."

"I have lived here for a long time... I like it..."

I have lived here for a good long of time and have no complaints. It's a pretty cool little "oasis" in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a modern desert city with bus and light rail rail right out at the door.  One of the few apartment communities that still have actual green grass. I like it, everything is within general walking distance or if necessary, bus or train ride away.....Owner and manager are up on tings....I think it's a pretty good deal living here with the free 100-channel cable TV and all.......beats Blockbuster and saves me about $50 bucks a month or so.......
